TABLE TENNIS
Table tennis, also known as ping-pong, is a popular racket sport that involves hitting a lightweight hollow ball back and forth across a table using small paddles. The game is characterized by its fast-paced action, requiring quick reflexes and excellent hand-eye coordination.
Basic Equipment:
Table: A rectangular table divided into two equal halves by a net.
Ball: A small, lightweight, hollow ball.
Paddles: Flat, wooden paddles with a rubber surface.
Basic Rules:
Serve: The server hits the ball over the net so that it bounces on their side of the table and then on the opponent’s side.
Return: Players must return the ball over the net before it bounces twice on their side.
Scoring: A point is awarded to the player who wins a rally.
Winning a Game: A game is won by the first player to reac 11 points, with a two-point lead.
Winning a Match: A match is usually the best of five games.
